Mission

The Quebec Aboriginal Science and Engineering Association (QASEA) is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote sciences and engineering to Aboriginal youth attending school in First Nations and Inuit Communities in Quebec. QASEA achieves its mission through the Aboriginal Science Fair Program.

Our Program

The Aboriginal Science Fair (ASF) – Quebec Program

The Quebec Aboriginal Science Fair Program includes three activities:

  • The provincial final of the ASF – Quebec
    • The main activity organized by QASEA, this annual event is held in a Quebec Aboriginal Community since 1998.

  • Participation at the Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF)
    • An annual event organized by Youth Science Canada, up to four high school level winners of the provincial final of the ASF-Quebec can represent the “Quebec Aboriginal Autochtone” region at the CWSF.

  • A Teachers’ Workshop
    • To train teachers from First Nations and Inuit communities on how to prepare their students for science fairs.

Our People

Many volunteers throughout Quebec give time and energy to the organization. The board of directors
